Good News- The derelict sailboat (ghost ship- Captain Jack Sparrow would have been proud) has been towed away to the boatyard for decommissioning. Thank you to the residents along the Cabana canal. You would not believe the red tape we went through with several government agencies. The vessel is gone but will not be forgotten.

Towing- The Board’s Sticker Committee has had two meetings. It has a proposal for a new policy to present to the Board. The policy simplifies procedures and is more user-friendly but tightens up on PIPOA members acquiring boat ramp parking permits. Stay tuned. The policy will be presented at the December 13th Board meeting.

Over the weekend, two vehicles and four trailers were towed from the boat ramps.

Tax Return- The 2021 PIPOA Tax Return was filed on time. It will be up on the PIPOA website within the next few days.

Board Meeting- The next PIPOA Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the Padre Island Baptist Church located across from Whataburger. All PIPOA members are invited to attend.

La Posada- December 9th will be the boat parade on the North canals, and December 10th will be the boat parade in the South canals. The parade is still in need of lighted boats. If you would like to be in the parade, contact Bob Corbett at bob.corbett895@gmail.com. For a full listing of dates and events, go to the La Posada Facebook page. In addition, La Posada invites those participating in the boat parade to a boat decorating party on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Padre Island Yacht club volunteers, along with the Marines, will be available to help you decorate your boat. Bring your lights and decorations, and they will all pitch in to help.
